Funeral services were held at W.S. Davis Funeral Home in Arcade on Thursday, December 29, for Arcade resident Mary E. Boyd. Mrs. Boyd died Saturday, December 24, 2005, at her Southview Drive home. She was 61.


Born in Yorkshire on July 26, 1944, she was a daughter of Kenneth "Bill" and Elizabeth "Betty" (Weichmann) Tidd. She was married to Wynn C. Boyd.

Mrs. Boyd, a homemaker, babysat for many area families.

She was a member of the Odosagih Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening and bingo.

Surviving, in addition to her devoted husband, are three beloved children Christine (Thomas) Brehm of Chaffee, Wendy (Dale) Andres of Freedom and Terri (Daryl) Myers of Arcade; eight cherished grandchildren, Jessica (Chris) Mucha of Arcade, Randy Rhoads of Chaffee, Heather, Brittany, and Brook Andres of Freedom, and Justin, Jarett, and Grant Myers of Arcade; a loving and devoted sister, Nancy (Richard) Vedder of Yorkshire; a brother, William (Gay) Tidd of Delevan; lifelong friends Judith and Gary Benzel of Delevan; several nieces and nephews; and several close friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon Tidd.
Burial will be in Delevan Cemetery.
