Former Yorkshire resident Catherine Burton Kingsland, 86, of Zephyrhills, Florida, died Thursday, August 31, 2006, in the Hernando Pasco Hospice Care Center in Dade City, Florida.

Born in Buffalo February 7, 1920, she was a daughter of Michael and Anna (Heil) Weichmann. Twelve years ago, in Arcade, she married Robert D. Kingsland, who survives. Her first husband, Marshall Burton, whom she married July 1, 1939 in Holland, died November 25, 1989.

Mrs. Kingsland had worked as a cashier at the Atlantic Tea Corp. in Arcade, and was a housekeeper for Dr. Trnka in Arcade.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Kingsland is survived by a son, Robert (Sharon) Burton of Springville; a daughter, Linda (Robert) Ellis of Orchard Park; a brother, Fritz Weichmann of Protection; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her first husband, Mrs. Kingsland was predeceased by five brothers, Michael, John, Edward, George Sr., and Otto Weichmann; two sisters, Anna Meier an Elizabeth Tidd; and a great-grandson, Billy Burton.

A graveside service will be held Monday, September 25, at 10:00 a.m., in Yorkshire Cemetery, and will be followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. in the Franklinville Baptist Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, Arcade.
