About Johann and Elizabeths 14 children (oldest to youngest)

Joseph - born 1881- died 6/15/1928-homocide, apparently he was living at a boarding house owned by a Mrs. Wattles, when he was shot and killed by her 21 year old son. Joseph was married to Antoinette Hourt, but I do not know if they divorced or not, but that would explain why at the time of his death he was living at a boarding house.

Elizabeth - born 1882/83- died 2/21/1935 - married Joseph Roehling

Michael - I believe he was the first of the children to be born in the USA-Bundys Alley

Anna- born Aug 1886 married Henry Hunger and then after he was killed in trolley car accident she remarried Joseph Nigrelli. When Anna orphaned her children, Joseph also orphaned 3 of his children at the same place. One of Mr. Nigrellis descendents emailed me awhile ago and said that he remembered Anna as a "kind and wonderful woman, she was a great cook and had a good sense of humor". "She was beautiful and had long blonde hair". I am now currently waiting to hear from another of his relatives regarding any memories he may have or from his father and uncles.

John - born Oct, 1887 - married Alice ????. Lived on Cedar Street in 1920 Census

George - born Nov 1888 - died in either 1935 or 1955, (I could not read the writing), but he is buried somewhere in Mt. Calvary, but I could not locate him at their office when I went last year (he may have a different spelling or something). He married Theresia Retzer who I cannot locate in the cemetery either.

Margaret B. - Feb 1890 - 8/25/1890- died around 6 months of age

Jacob - 6/1891 - 7/23/1891 - died around 1 month of age

Jacob - 7/1892 - 9/6/1892 - died around 2 months of age

Matthew - July 1893 - December 1955 - married Edna Dachs who later in life had no legs, probably due to diabetes, and lived in Bellvue, Cheektowaga (Mary Carroll Ullman told me this). He was also married to Margaret Wachtel.

Sophie - Nov. 1894 - 2/26/1948 - married Henry Reuter

Julius - 2/1896 - 10/19/1896 - died in first year

Francis and Kunigunda - twins born on 1/4/1901 at Bellvue, Cheektowaga. Kunigunda died 8/4/1901 in her first year and I have no death date for Francis, and I think she married a man by the name of Smith. I think he is the Edward Smith buried in our plot at UG&F, but i cannot be certain, I have not really looked into it, I just assume - Edward could also be one of their children since his death date is 1929.


Last year when I went to UG&F the stone in front marked M. Weichmann could barely be seen. I had a hammer (claw), screwdriver and a rag in my car, so I started digging away at the dirt and did my best to clear it. I went back this year and it is already starting to overgrow again. I wonder if that is where all the other headstones have gone over the years, unless they just did not have any. It is really hard to believe that Elizabeth would not have one. According to the plot map, Elizabeth is buried to the right of Johann, I cannot figure out why a stone marked M. Weichmann would be there. Baby Margaret is burried in spot 7, which according to the map is in the third row, but maybe this is for her. But her and baby Jacob(1) were both transferred from single graves to this plot, why wouldnt they get stones for both?? Who knows!

Also who is the Mary Meyer that is buried here?? Is she related to Elizabeth Meier Weichmann who took on Meyer spelling? The only sibling of Elizabeths that I know of is her brother Mathias whos name was spelled Maier on his birth certificate. I have had a very hard time finding anything on this Meier family since this is the last name of their mother- they were both born illigitimate.

I have a picture of either George or Matthew and G-Grandpa Mike from Otto and Jean, they are pretty sure it is Matthew. The man seated is Mike, and the man standing is the brother. The lady to the left is Anna Heyl and the lady on the right is Mrs. Ibisch (not sure of spelling) who was Anna's sponsor when she came from Germany to USA. Will send in separate email.
