Hi Tom, how was your 4th of July. I hope you enjoyed yourself. I wanted to write to update you on my progress, as I was at Otto and Jeans last night. This is what I found out.

Johan "John" Weichman was born in Donavwind Bavaria on 5/28/1846. He died on 12/21/1912 and is buried in Pine Hill Cemetary in Cheektowaga. He married Elizabeth Meier who was born on 10/25/1860 in Schwandorf Bavaria, and died 10/14/1915, and is buried in Pine Hill also. They had 14 children that Jean and Otto know of, but they suspect there may be more. Joseph born Jan. 1881 in Germany, married Antoinette Hourt, Elizabeth born in 1882 or 1883 (not sure if born in Germany or NY), married Joseph Roehling, our great grandfather Michael born 9/23/1885 in Buffalo, married Anna Christine Heyl, Anna born 1886, married Henry Hunger who died in 1911, she later remarried Joseph Nigrelli (this is the grandmother of Mary Ellen Ulman-on the internet that posted messages regarding Hunger-Weichmann connection), John born in 1887, married a lady by the name Alice ???(no last name given), George born in 18!88, married Teresa Retzer, Margarate born and died in 1890, Jacob born and died in 1891, another Jacob born and died in 1892, Mathew born in 1893, married Edna Dachs, and then remarried Margarate Wachtel, Sophie born in 1894, married Henry Reuter, Julius born and died in 1896, Frances born in 1901-married a Smith??? and Kuni Gunda born and died in 1901. Frances and Kuni were twins.

Otto and Jean insist that there are more children-they think there was another set of twins somewhere in there, they just can not prove it.

If you noticed our g-grandpa Mikes mother Elizabeth's maiden name was Meier. The same last name as Mikes daughter Anna's husband- according to Otto these are two different Meier families.

Our g-grandpa Mike was born in Buffalo on a street called Bundy's Alley. Otto can not locate this street on old maps-maybe you have heard of it or seen it somewhere??? Keep your eyes open for me.. Thanks and I'll talk to you later-keep in touch.
